EPL: Carragher selects favorites and names two teams that will win the league the next season.

The two front-runners for the Premier League title in the forthcoming season have been selected by Liverpool great Jamie Carragher.

This came after Manchester United defeated Liverpool, the reigning champions, in the Premier League on Sunday.

He stated that he thinks Arsenal or Manchester City should win the trophy the next season and that neither Manchester United nor Liverpool have a chance.

On Sunday, Liverpool’s difficult season suffered yet another blow as their bitter rivals United defeated them 3-2 at Old Trafford.

Dominik Szoboszlai and Cody Gakpo gave the Reds a 2-0 lead, but Kobbie Mainoo’s strike in the 77th minute gave Manchester United the victory.

With three games remaining, United leads fourth-place Liverpool by six points, securing their spot in the Champions League for the upcoming season and virtually guaranteeing them third place in the Premier League.

Following the game, Old Trafford legend Gary Neville said that Manchester United is “up for grabs over the next one or two years” and that they are not far from becoming contenders for the Premier League title.

Carragher, however, denied United’s hopes of winning the championship and barred Liverpool from competing in the Premier League the following season, claiming that the current leaders, Manchester City and Arsenal, will probably win.

Carragher said on The Gary Neville podcast, “I still believe Liverpool are better positioned, and the reason I say that is we have witnessed Manchester United’s strongest lineup today,” in response to the question of which team is more likely to win the Premier League the following season.

Three or four important players are missing from Liverpool. They also have people who have received significant awards in the past.

“I don’t think either team will be competing for the championship next year. I still think Manchester City or Arsenal will win.

Given that Manchester United has not competed in any European tournaments and was eliminated in the opening round of both cup competitions, there is a false impression about them.

This may provide the wrong impression. I don’t really think Manchester United is the third-best team in the Premier League, even if they will finish third this season.
