Wayne Rooney, a legend of Manchester United, has declared that Arsenal will win the UEFA Champions League this year.
Following the Gunners’ 1-0 victory against Atletico Madrid in the second leg of their semifinal match, Rooney was speaking on Amazon Prime.
Last week at the Wanda Metropolitano, Mikel Arteta’s team was held to a 1-1 tie.
Bukayo Saka scored the game-winning goal at the Emirates right before halftime.
Rooney was thrilled by the environment the fans provided to help the squad succeed.
“I’ve played a CL semi-final here before,” he remarked.
“That evening’s vibe was very different from today’s. Arsenal’s year is this one.
