Alan Shearer, a former striker for Newcastle United, has offered his predictions for Saturday’s FA Cup final between Manchester City and Chelsea.
City is aiming to seal the domestic double after defeating Arsenal to win the Carabao Cup.
However, Pep Guardiola’s team has lost their last two FA Cup finals against Crystal Palace and Manchester United.
If Chelsea wins this match, their season will come to a somewhat successful conclusion.
Despite winning the Club World Cup and Europa Conference League last year, the Blues are in risk of losing out on Champions League participation.
“I just think because of the mood that City are in, the belief and the confidence, they’ll edge it,” Shearer told BetFair.
“I believe Man City will win by a narrow margin, but I think there will be a lot of goals in this.”
