Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has advocated for increased female involvement in politics.
He asserts that when given the chance, women are just as capable as men.
When Yilwatda met Dr. Mary Alile Idele, the APC National Women Leader, on Tuesday, he made the call.
He emphasised the need for equal opportunity in politics and stated that women should not be excluded from leadership and decision-making roles.
“You are not inferior to a man just because you are a woman. “Your brain, capacity, and ability are all equal,” he remarked.
He emphasised that inclusion and empowerment are still essential to bolstering democracy and called on more women to enter politics.
We urge women to come out and take an active role in politics. We have to give you power,” he continued.
Additionally, Yilwatda reassured female party members of his support, stating that the party leadership is dedicated to providing women with a more powerful voice in governance.
“I will support you, and we need to empower you,” he declared.
