Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, has acknowledged that his team had difficulties during the first 15 minutes of their 1-0 loss to Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday night.
PSG took a slight lead in the Champions League semi-final first leg, thanks to Ousmane Dembele’s lone goal.
Arteta, in an interview with Amazon Prime after the match, stated that they should have secured at least a draw.
He said: “Disappointed with the result.
“We put so much into the game. We struggled in the first 10-15 minutes to get momentum and dominance.
“Disappointed not to get a draw at least.”
On Dembele’s goal, Arteta added: “That is always the danger, credit to them. They get out of a situation that is close.
“We had seven players behind the ball, and they were clinical. Sometimes you just have to recognize the talent of the individual.”
