The lawmaker for the Edo North Senatorial District, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, has stated that former Transportation Minister Rotimi Amaechi did not even vote for Muhammadu Buhari in 2015, despite claims made by Amaechi that he made Buhari president.
In an interview with The Mic On Podcast on Sunday, Oshiomhole claimed that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) chieftain was “overwhelmed” by former Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike, preventing him from casting a ballot.
The lawmaker claims that Amaechi, who oversaw Buhari’s campaign as Director-General, told his followers in Rivers State to abstain from voting.
“Amaechi lied that he made Buhari president,” he declared. Amaechi was unable to cast a ballot for Buhari in 2015 because he foolishly ordered Rivers State residents to abstain from voting because he was overpowered by Wike’s forces.
“As the campaign’s Director-General, he urged his people to abstain from voting.”
In an interview with Arise TV, Amaechi asserted that he, not Tinubu, was the one who appointed Buhari president in 2015.
