Isaac Fayose, the younger brother of former state governor Ayo Fayose, has expressed concern ahead of Saturday’s Ekiti State gubernatorial election, claiming that the ruling All Progressives Congress, or APC, is planning to buy votes.
Isaac Fayose asserted in a video clip he shared on his official Facebook page on Thursday that reliable information he had access to showed that the APC had completed efforts to buy off voters.
During the election, he urged the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, or EFCC, to remain vigilant and capture vote buyers.
We have reliable information that these individuals (APC) intend to purchase votes.
The effectiveness of the EFCC will be determined on Saturday.
Since the APC intends to purchase votes, the EFCC should be able to capture a large number of vote buys if they are present.
He declared, “EFCC, Nigerians are watching, you now have an office in Ekiti State.”
The industrialist also bemoaned the fact that evil individuals rig their way into power, which is why the nation is still underdeveloped.
“Our electoral system is flawed, which is why Nigeria is not developing,” he declared. Because they are rigged in, unpopular people gain power while popular people do not.
We are in a mess if our votes are unable to elevate the greatest candidates.
