Karim Adeyemi, a forward for Borussia Dortmund, has disclosed the rationale for his choice to play for Germany rather than Nigeria.
Adeyemi was born to a Nigerian father and a Romanian mother in Munich, Germany.
The 23-year-old could represent Nigeria, Germany, and Romania.
Adeyemi however picked Germany over the two other countries.
“It’s a difficult question. I have to answer this to my father a lot of times,” the former Red Bull Salzburg player told Oma Sports.
“It’s just like this, I have offers from Germany [Football Association], I had a good feeling there. And, at the end, I had to play for Germany. This is how easy it is.”
He has made six appearances for Germany with one goal to his name.
