Emmanuel Petit, a former Arsenal midfielder, has outlined three reasons why he believes the current team will clinch the Premier League title this season.
After last weekend’s 2-2 stalemate with Aston Villa, the Gunners occupy the second position.
Arsenal had a two-goal advantage thanks to Gabriel Martinelli and Kai Havertz, but they conceded two goals and dropped points.
The result came hours after Liverpool scored two late goals to defeat Brentford 2-0.
The Reds are six points ahead of Mikel Arteta’s men and have played a game less too.
When asked on Sky Sports if he believed Arsenal could win this season’s Premier League title, Petit said: “Yes – and I’ll tell you why.
“Liverpool and other teams are dealing with so many competitions.
“Arsenal, they have so many injuries, but they are going to be back soon. They are top players as well, so they are going to be fresh.
“They are out, almost, of the two national cups, so they can concentrate on the Champions League and Premier League.
“Liverpool are not doing that well in the last few weeks. They are conceding goals all the time and they are not confident.
“Saka is coming back soon and the [January] market is not over yet as well
