NNL: Maikaba shows optimism regarding Wikki Tourists’ promotion to NPFL

Abdullahi Maikaba, the head coach of Wikki Tourists, expresses optimism about his team’s chances of gaining promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) in the upcoming season.

Maikaba stated that with the caliber of players on his team, they will reach their goal.

On Sunday in Bauchi, Wikki Tourists triumphed over Zamfara United with a score of 4-1 in their last group match of the regular season.

After finishing first in their group, the Bauchi Elephants secured a spot in the Nigeria National League (NNL) Super Eight playoff tournament.

Maikaba informed Wikki Tourists media, “Upon my arrival, the objective was evident: to secure a spot in the Super Eight and return Wikki Tourists to the Premier League.”

„Wir bewegen uns in die richtige Richtung. I am convinced that we will secure promotion, given the quality of players in our team and ongoing support.

The four teams that have qualified for the playoff tournament are Wikki Tourists, Barau FC, Yobe Desert Stars, and Doma United.

The Southern Conference A and B will determine the remaining four teams.
