LaLiga: Mbappe tells Modric he won something invaluable

Real Madrid ace, Kylian Mbappe, has honoured the departing legendary football icon, Luka Modric.

The Croatian International announced yesterday he will be leaving the club after over a decade of dedicated service to Los Blancos.

Mbappe took his social media handle to hail the Croatia international who would be leaving Madrid along with manager Carlo Ancelotti whose departure at the end of the season has also been confirmed.

At the end of the season, Ancelotti would take on the role of coach for the Brazilian national team.

After the FIFA Club World Cup, Modric, who once starred for Tottenham Hotspur, will depart from Real Madrid.

Mbappe called Modric a fantastic individual and one of the greatest players in the history of football.

The ex-Paris Saint-Germain star stated that he considers himself fortunate to have played alongside and shared a locker room with the veteran midfielder.

„Brate, ich hatte das Glück, diese Saison mit dir zu spielen und die Kabine zu teilen“, schrieb er auf Instagram.

“But you achieved something that cannot be bought: the respect and admiration of the world. Thanks for all of it, LEGEND.

Having transferred from Tottenham Hotspur in 2012, Modric spent 13 years at the club.

In his 13 years at the Santiago Bernabeu, Modric won 28 trophies
