Former Argentina coach, Fernando Signorini, has cautioned against pushing Lamine Yamal too hard.
He was reacting to the comparisons between legendary football star Lionel Messi and the young Lamine Yamal.
Signorini pointed out that it was not yet clear how far Yamal would go in football to compare to someone like Messi who has put in many years and still going.
During a recent Q&A session, Signorini said, via Flashscore, “We shouldn’t push him too hard. He has the world’s expectations on him.
“I don’t know how far he’ll go. I love watching him play. It’s a matter of taste. It’s perverse to compare them.”
Messi left Barcelona in 2021, and the Catalans have waited for years to witness a strong talent like Yamal.
At 17, Yamal has already won three domestic trophies with Barcelona in a single season.
He helped them to the LaLiga, Supercopa de España, and Copa del Rey this term
In a recent Q&A session, Signorini stated through Flashscore, “We shouldn’t push him too hard. The expectations of the world rest upon him.
„Ich weiß nicht, wie weit er gehen wird. It’s a joy for me to see him play. It’s a question of taste. It’s twisted to make a comparison between them.
