The Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) Command at Port and Terminal Multiservices Limited (PTML) has announced that it has facilitated a total of N230 billion through the B’odogwu since its launch in October 2024.
To solve the problems encountered by freight forwarders during documentation, the Comptroller General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi, launched an indigenous technology called the B’Odogwu platform in 2024.
Tenny Daniyan, the Customs Area Controller (CAC) overseeing PTML Command, revealed during a courtesy visit by the Shipping Correspondents Association of Nigeria (SCAN) that B’Odogwu is a Nigerian digital technology revolutionizing customs operations.
He stated that while the new technology comes with challenges, more than 90 percent of these have been addressed.
He commended the Comptroller General of Customs for having the confidence to go ahead with the initiative which has today become the pride of Nigeria and Nigerians.
Daniyan said, “B’Odogwu is working and it’s working for us, we have realised over N230 billion so far on the platform. If it is not working with you, it means you are not doing the right thing. We thank God all the issues have been resolved. We are posting and posting very well.
