Gary Neville, a former Manchester United star, has advised the club’s manager, Ruben Amorim, to emulate Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta.
He stated that the Portuguese need to assume leadership and control at the club, similar to Arteta’s approach from day one when he became Arsenal’s manager.
This means that the ex-manager of Sporting CP needs to sign players of his own choosing and permit the departure of many current players at the club.
This season, Manchester United ended up in 15th place in the Premier League table. In addition, they were defeated by Tottenham Hotspur in the UEFA Europa League final.
Nevile stated on Sky Sports, “Someone needs to take control of that club, and I believe the manager should be the one to do it.
„Ruben, du musst den Schläger fester greifen. Mikel Arteta has performed excellently at Arsenal. He established the coaching systems in place…”
After their victory against Aston Villa on Sunday with a score of 2-0, Amorim promised Red Devils supporters that brighter days are ahead.
