Roy Keane, a legend of Manchester United, has unleashed criticism at Nottingham Forest after the club imposed a ban on fellow commentator Gary Neville.
Before the 1-0 loss to Chelsea at the City Ground on the last day of the Premier League season, Forest imposed a ban on Neville.
The ex-Manchester United player was barred from providing commentary during the match against Chelsea due to his criticism of the club’s owner, Evangelos Marinakis.
During the match between Forest and Leicester City on May 11, Marinakis entered the pitch to confront coach Nuno Espirito Santo. He was said to be unhappy with how Taiwo Awoniyi was being treated by the coaching and medical staff.
Taiwo had sustained a stomach injury in the 2-2 draw.
Neville expressed dissatisfaction with Marinakis’ action and criticized the football administrator.
As reported by the Mirror, Keane launched a strong critique of Forest, labeling them “Small-minded.”
Enzo Maresca and his Chelsea team secured a spot in next season’s Champions League with their 1-0 victory over Forest.
Despite a promising beginning to their season, Nottingham ended up in sixth place in the league.
