Senate President Godswill Akpabio once again declared his optimism that Nigeria is headed toward prosperity under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration. Speaking at a public event hosted by Professor Abubakar Olanrewaju Sulaiman, the Director-General of the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS) in Abuja, Akpabio praised Sulaiman for his “remarkable contributions” to democratic development and capacity building. The Senate President affirmed the National Assembly’s commitment to supporting reforms that foster national growth, unity, and stability, specifically noting an ongoing constitutional review aimed at strengthening democratic institutions and improving governance. Earlier, Professor Sulaiman expressed his satisfaction with NILDS’s role in advancing legislative and democratic principles, highlighting its growth into a global hub for research, policy innovation, and international collaboration under his leadership.
