Adamawa, Bayelsa schools reach basketball semifinals

On Monday, June 23, Government Secondary School in Numan, Adamawa, achieved their second straight victory at the Nestlé Milo Basketball Championship by defeating Ahmadiyya College from Kano with a score of 65–45.

As reported by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Adamawa previously edged out Government Secondary School, Gwarinpa, Abuja, with a score of 43–40 in a tough opening match.

The Adamawa boys, having won twice in Group A, have secured a spot in the semifinals and are waiting to see who their opponent from Group B will be.

In a similar fashion, St Jude Girl’s Secondary School located in Amarata, Bayelsa, triumphed over Government Girl’s Secondary School from Yola with a score of 41–23.
