The Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) has announced its official team of 92 athletes who will represent Nigeria at the 3rd CAA U-18/U-20 Championships starting today at the Moshood Abiola Sports Arena in Abeokuta, Ogun.
The team was named on Tuesday, according to a statement signed by Chief Tonobok Okowa, the AFN’s President, and Gabriel Okon, the Technical Director.The statement indicates that 51 team members are male and 41 are female, who relocated to the championship village on Monday after two weeks of camping post-national trials in Sagamu. A breakdown reveals that 23 boys and 17 girls will compete for honors in the U-18 category, while 23 girls and 29 boys will compete in the U-20 category of the Championships.
