In Adamawa State, an unexploded ordnance (UXO) has been found next to a building site.
In order to protect locals, the development also led to a fast military response and the cordoning off of the region.
Zagazola Makama, a security and counter-insurgency specialist in the Lake Chad region, revealed this in a post on X.
According to Makama, who cited security sources, building workers at the new Mbege Ka Michika Palace site in Michika Local Government Area discovered the device on Monday.
The report claims that employees saw the item next to a tree and promptly notified security personnel.
