Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State, who is seeking a second term on the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) platform, advised voters on how to handle vote-buyers during the upcoming November 8 governorship election.
Speaking at an APGA campaign rally in Anambra East Local Government Area, Soludo encouraged the electorate to take the money offered by vote-buyers and riggers but then proceed to vote for APGA.
He alleged that the opposition was “planning for rigging” and “violence,” but asserted that APGA was focused on ensuring a free, fair, transparent, and credible election. Soludo emphasized the importance of high voter turnout and accurate vote counting.
The governor characterized APGA as the dominant political force in the state, stating, “APGA is Anambra, Anambra is APGA,” and described the party as being “almost like a religious movement” in the state.
