Felix Agu, a defender for Werder Bremen, will miss Nigeria’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations team because of an injury. Agu suffered a syndesmosis ligament injury last month when Bremen defeated St. Pauli 1-0. After undergoing surgery, the Nigerian international was initially anticipated to miss two months of action. Peter Niemeyer, the head of professional football at Werder Bremen, has since stated that he will only play again the following season. Niemeyer was quoted by DeichStube as saying, “His return will definitely not take place until the new year.” Agu played youth football for Germany before deciding to support Nigeria.
