Atiku Abubakar, the former vice president, has declared that the coalition being built to remove the All Progressives Congress, or APC, from office “is not a joke” and that the 2027 election will be difficult.
In a statement he shared on social media on Tuesday, Atiku said he was speaking to the Kannywood delegation and important North West thought leaders who were paying him a courtesy call.
“The opposition coalition being put together is not a joke, and it will soon be unveiled,” the former PDP presidential candidate claimed to have informed the gathering.
“I informed the visiting forum that the planned coalition is a conscious attempt to restore and rebuild Nigeria in accordance with the people’s desires and ambitions.”
According to Atiku, the new media industry’s North West stakeholders told him that they are forming a coalition to support the Coalition of opposition political leaders before 2027.
The delegation was led by Dr. Aslam Aliyu, a prominent Zamfara politician who serves as the head of the PAA 2027, NEW MEDIA & DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS FORUM, an alliance of stakeholders in digital media.
Members of Zamfara TOP 10, Kannywood, and other organizations make up the forum.
According to the forum, their pledge is based on an analysis of the results of the 2023 polls as well as the gaps in voter knowledge and information that were found.
Some forum participants who were involved in the election of the APC government led by President Tinubu expressed sincere regret for imposing an inept and unprepared leadership on Nigeria and pledged to support the opposition leaders’ continued coalition efforts.
The statement also said, “I promised the forum that 2027 will not be business as usual.”
