Nasir El-Rufai, the immediate past governor of Kaduna State, has accused President Bola Tinubu of not liking him during his time in the ruling All Progressives Congress, or APC.
El-Rufai revealed the information in an interview on Monday’s episode of “Prime Time,” which airs on Arise Television.
He added that he was the son of President Muhammadu Buhari, who was in office right before him.
The ex-Kaduna governor also disclosed that he was closer to former governor of Osun and a chieftain of the APC, Bisi Akande.
“Bola Tinubu never really liked me, but we never really got along. In the party, I was Buhari’s boy.
“The person I got along with was Baba Akande,” he said.
El-Rufai continued the interview by saying he never thought a new coalition political party would be registered by the Independent National Electoral Commission, or INEC, which is led by Prof. Yakubu Mahmoud.
A contrast between the current INEC chairman and his predecessor, Attahiru Jega, whose leadership the All Progressives Congress, or APC, was registered under, was made by the former FCT minister during President Olusegun Obasanjo’s government.
