Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, on Thursday pledged that Abuja will rank among the world’s leading cities before the end of President Bola Tinubu’s first term in office.
He said the transformation of the capital is being carried out in line with Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, stressing that his administration would ensure that no sector is neglected.
Wike made this statement at the flag-off of the construction of Arterial Road N20 (Solomon Lar Way), linking Road N5 (Obafemi Awolowo Way) to the Airport Expressway.
The minister cautioned contractors against abandoning projects midway, emphasizing the need for timely completion. “Once you’ve moved to site, remain there until the job is finished,” he said.
Wike assured Abuja residents that ongoing projects will not only transform the city center but also extend to satellite towns and other critical areas, including the health sector. “Every sector will get the attention it deserves,” he added.
