Ibrahim Gambari, the Chief of Staff (CoS) of former President Muhammadu Buhari, revealed that the cabal in his administration was aware of the late president’s frailty.
Gambari said the cabal circumvented him and smuggled memos to Buhari because the understood the former President’s fragility.
He made this revelation on Friday during an appearance on Channels Television’s Inside Sources.
According to Gambari, the cabal was aware of Buhari’s vulnerability because of their casual contacts with the late former president.
The former UN Special Envoy pointed out that Buhari ought to make a public statement to halt document smuggling.
He claimed that because they had engaged with him informally, they were aware of his weak points and knew when to smuggle memorabilia.
The advantage I had was that the memos came back to me, even though the vice president (Yemi Osinbajo), to his credit, always passed them through me and a number of ministers. Nevertheless, our people continued to send him memos from behind because they knew his weakness and who to use, and he never stopped them.
