The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has rejected reports claiming that the deadline for Bureau De Change (BDC) operators’ recapitalisation has been postponed to December 31, 2025.
The CBN, via Mrs. Hakama Sidi Ali, its Acting Director of the Corporate Communications Department, characterized the information as false and misleading, urging it to be ignored. She stated that the Bank has not approved any extensions beyond the previously announced deadline of June 3, 2025.
