Dangote files documents for construction of Ogun’s largest seaport

Aliko Dangote, the President of the Dangote Group, has filed documents to construct Ogun State’s “largest and deepest seaport in Nigeria.”

Dangote stated in a Bloomberg interview that he has submitted an application to start work at the planned Atlantic seaport in Olokola, Ogun state

In March, Dangote suggested he was resuming facility construction due to Governor Dapo Abiodun’s investor-friendly approach. The entrepreneur stated that the initiative would facilitate goods export—liquefied natural gas (LPG) included—and foster rapid development of his industrial empire. He added that the plan “to build the biggest, deepest port in Nigeria” progressed after he submitted the necessary permission paperwork last month.
