Daniel Bwala claims Nigerians are now significantly safer than before

Daniel Bwala, Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy Communication, has asserted that Nigerians are now relatively safer under Tinubu’s administration.

Speaking during an interview on Channels Television’s *Sunday Politics*, Bwala said that prior to 2023, the country witnessed frequent prison breaks, rampant kidnappings in broad daylight, and widespread killings.

He noted that the situation has improved significantly since Tinubu assumed office, claiming that there have been no reports of prison breaks and that citizens can now go about their daily activities without fear.

Bwala recalled that during Donald Trump’s presidency in 2016, the United States began supplying Nigeria with ammunition to help combat insecurity, acknowledging Nigeria’s strategic role in regional security.

He maintained that under Tinubu, the nation’s security situation has stabilised compared to the years before 2023.
