Wizkid is not among the top three Nigerian artists according to singer D’banj.
In an interview with the Adesope podcast, D’banj stated that the only artists he is currently enjoying are singers Rema, Davido, and Burna Boy.
D’banj commended Davido for his consistency and humility, Burna Boy for his intentionality, and Rema for his enthusiasm, but he left Wizkid off his list.
“Who are your artists that you are currently listening to?” inquired Adesope. Give me three, please.
“Congratulations to Rema. I adore Rema’s enthusiasm. You know, I really adore this guy, and he feels the same way about me. If he wakes up tomorrow, he will be acting as though he has no money—David is working hard as though he doesn’t have any.
And I believe that others should take a cue from the way he conducts himself—for example, the fact that he is so constant despite having little. Then Burna Boy is too deliberate—his live performances are incredible.
