According to the former general manager of the 3SC football club in Ibadan, the use of VAR in the Nigerian Premier League would assist reduce the questionable calls made by certain referees. Due to subpar performances, the league organizers recently banned the referees who officiated the NPFL week eight matches between Nasarawa United and Enugu Rangers and Kano Pillars and 3SC.
