In the Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain, former Arsenal player Emmanuel Eboue has recommended manager Mikel Arteta to bench right-back Jurrien Timber.
Timber last played for Arsenal during the team’s victory over Everton in March.
The Dutchman may still play in Saturday’s Champions League final while he recovers from a groin ailment.
Eboue told Metro that Timber would love to participate. “Playing in the Champions League final is your goal as a footballer.
However, he hasn’t played in a while. He will have to wait a short while.
“I believe it would be better for Arteta to leave him on the bench because the PSG team is so powerful and quick.”
