Guardiola has called the criticism “dumb.”
Wayne Rooney, a former striker for Manchester United, had said they “were a bit over the top.”
After defeating the Gunners 2-1 on Sunday, City may win the league on Wednesday when they play Burnley at Turf Moor.
Guardiola remarked, “People can say whatever stupid things they want to say when they celebrate because they know the value of the opponent.”
“They prevailed, and we remain.” How are they unable to commemorate it? Celebrate whatever you see fit, as long as you show respect for the opposition and its supporters.
