Pep Guardiola, manager of Manchester City, has stated that he will take a break after leaving the Premier League club.
Guardiola is uncertain about whether he will retire from coaching after that.
At the Etihad, the 54-year-old has spent nine years, marking the longest coaching tenure of his career.
Prior to City, he was at Barcelona for four years and managed Bayern Munich for three.
Last year, Guardiola extended his contract by two years, which will keep him at the Etihad Stadium until 2027.
Guardiola told ESPN Brasil, “I want people to remember me however they wish.”
„Nach meinem Vertrag mit City werde ich aufhören. Without a doubt. Although I’m uncertain about retirement, I will take a break. I’m uncertain about how I wish to be remembered.
Every coach wants to win for the sake of a memorable job, but I think that the supporters of Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and City enjoyed watching my teams play. It’s my belief that we shouldn’t live our lives with the thought of remembrance in mind.
