Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has been applauded for implementing the new Consolidated Polytechnics and Colleges of Education Academic Staff Salary Structure (CONPCAS) and Consolidated Tertiary Institutions Salary Structure (CONTEDISS) for the state’s tertiary institution staff.
The Head of Service, Mrs. Jummai Bako, offered the commendation on Tuesday, confirming that employees have already begun receiving the increased salaries, which she noted is a major boost to staff morale and a sign of the administration’s commitment to welfare.
Mrs. Bako praised the Governor for his “visionary leadership” and for keeping his promise to the academic community, highlighting his willingness to engage constructively and deliver lasting solutions. She described the move, which retroactively approved 70% of the 2024 salary structure effective October 2025, as a display of integrity and empathy.
In return for the salary adjustment, the Head of Service urged the benefiting staff to boost their productivity to match the Governor’s dedication to their welfare and the improvement of the education sector. Union leaders previously commended the Governor for his “listening leadership” and commitment to educational advancement.
