After Man United lost to West Ham, Amorim proposed that if the club’s poor performance persists into the next season, they should consider appointing a different person to the coaching position.
I have that feeling, we need to change that and we need to be really strong in the summer and be brave because we will not have the next season like this,” Amorim said at his post-match interview.
“If we start like this, or if the feeling is still here, we should give the space to different persons.”
However, according to the Manchester Evening News, Man United’s owners have already set out their main target for the 2025/26 season, believing a top-six finish would be an “acceptable aim”.
This means that United will have to battle the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea, Aston Villa, Nottingham Forest and Newcastle United for the “big-six” clubs.
