Legendary Arsenal player Ian Wright has maintained that if the Gunners win both the Premier League and the Champions League, manager Mikel Arteta’s team will be regarded as the club’s best ever.
Following Arsenal’s 1-0 victory over West Ham United on Sunday, Wright made this statement on Sky Sports.
Wright stated, “I would rank them [Arteta’s team] above the Invincibles because they have the potential to win both the Premier League and the Champions League.”
Even though that Invincible squad and its members were outstanding, this team will outperform them since they will have accomplished something that not even that outstanding team could.
“They will go down as Arsenal’s greatest team in history if they can finish it off, which I am praying they can.”
