FCT Council election: PDP members are warned by Damagum that anti-party sentiment will not be tolerated.

Umar Damagum, the national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has warned to reprimand any party members who engage in anti-party actions.

According to Damagum, anyone deemed to be disloyal to the PDP will not be tolerated by the disciplinary committee.

When election candidates were officially nominated yesterday, he gave a speech at the FCT Secretariat.

Abdulrahman Mohammed, the vice chairman of the PDP’s North Central, represented the acting National Chairman at the event.

He warned members that they would not be allowed to participate in other members’ political activities.

Those engaged in anti-party activities were urged to quit the PDP by Damagum.

He promised to safeguard the votes of candidates running for the next Federal Capital Territory council.

“The party will no longer put up with any misconduct. In order for us to quickly replace anyone who feels unprepared for this task, they should step aside right away.

“Anyone found organizing or campaigning with other political parties will be disciplined as it is considered anti-party activity,” he continued.
