FG opens July savings bond with interest up to 16.762%

The July 2025 Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) savings bonds were introduced by the federal government through the Debt Management Office (DMO), providing investors with alluring annual interest rates of up to 16.762%.

The DMO said in a circular on Monday that the subscription window will open on Monday, July 7, 2025, and close on Friday, July 11, 2025.

Each bond is priced at N1,000 per unit, with a minimum subscription of N5,000. Subsequent investments must be in multiples of N1,000, up to a maximum of N50 million.

Interest payments will be made quarterly, on January 16, April 16, July 16 and October 16, with principal repaid in full on maturity.

The savings bonds are backed by the full faith and credit of the Federal Government, offering investors a secure and low-risk investment option

The DMO recommended that prospective investors get in touch with authorized stockbrokers designated as distribution agents on their website in order to participate.
