Yesterday, FirstBank announced that it had screened 237 transactions valued at more than N3 trillion for sustainability risks, incorporating ESG considerations into its credit framework.
This coincides with the bank being recognized as Nigeria’s Best Bank for Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) at the recently held Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2025 in London. This victory marks FirstBank’s second consecutive win in the ESG category, reinforcing its position as a leader in sustainable finance and responsible banking throughout Nigeria.
