Allen Onyema, the Chairman and CEO of Air Peace, has advised government appointees to pay attention to President Bola Tinubu’s intentions rather than targeting him and his airline.
Speaking on Arise Television’s ‘Prime Time’ on Wednesday, Onyema suggested that some government bodies and even individuals in the legislature “do not see beyond their noses” and are mistakenly focused on fighting him.
He cautioned them, stating that they are making a “huge mistake” by trying to harm him. He warned that if they succeed in causing the airline to fail, they might become “the victim of the next suicide bomber, armed robber and kidnapper because when people lose their jobs, criminalities increase.”
Onyema emphasized that he is not motivated by wealth, stating, “My motivation is the people, I don’t need any more houses or cars.”
He concluded with a plea to those in appointed government positions: “look at the body language of the president and follow that instead of fighting me and Air Peace.”
