The results of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination have been made public by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board.
Out of the 1,955,069 applicants that took the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, more than 1.5 million received scores below 200 in the recently ended test.
The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) announced the statistical analysis of the 2025 UTME results on Monday, and it showed this.
According to the data, only 420,415 applicants received a score higher than 200 on the UTME in 2025.
According to the data, less than 1% of the candidates had a score above 300 on the test, and 75% of them received a score below 200.
“40,247 underage candidates were permitted to demonstrate their exceptional abilities,” according to the statement that JAMB included with the statistics. Although their success in the next three phases is still uncertain, only 467 of these candidates (1.16%) received scores that fulfill the UTME’s criteria for exceptional ability.
Thursday, April 24, was the start of the examination.
