In Matazu town, Katsina State, bandits ambushed worshippers during the Isha prayer, resulting in several fatalities and injuries.
In a post on X on Friday, security analyst Bakatsine detailed the incident, claiming that the gunmen broke into the mosque during the night while people were praying. “Last night, during the Isha prayer, bandits attacked Matazu town in Katsina State, killing and injuring worshippers,” he said. Attacks on worshippers in the northwest are becoming too common, so the government needs to take immediate action,” Bakatsine wrote.Authorities in Katsina State have not yet issued an official statement about the incident at the time of filing this report.
