With the recovery of N2.06 billion in excess charges imposed on shippers, the Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC) has achieved a noteworthy milestone in its efforts to safeguard the interests of shippers in the nation.The recovery is expected to have a favorable influence on the operations of shippers, who may now channel the recovered revenues into their enterprises, consequently stimulating economic activities in the country. By addressing problems like arbitrary charges, inefficiencies, and operational breaches, the Council has been in the forefront of attempts to reform the maritime sector.
