Kabiru Adamu, the CEO of Beacon Security and Intelligence LTD, has stated that military might by itself is insufficient to eradicate Nigeria’s insecurity, stressing the need to address the underlying causes of the problems.
As he revealed that Nigeria has seen a decline in security-related fatalities in recent months, he cautioned that stability is still a long way off.
During his appearance on Arise Television’s “Prime Time” program on Monday, Adamu discussed the company’s August 2025 security report’s findings, highlighting both advancements and lingering difficulties.
In May, we reported roughly 1,200 fatalities. It was roughly 1,100 in June, 800 in July, and only 700 this time around. That’s still high, though, he said.
However, it’s evident that something constructive is happening when you contrast that with the 1,200 we reported in May,” he remarked.
He claims that the decrease is the result of increased energy in the security industry.
Improved energy in the security sector is one of them. We witnessed an improvement in both the ground and air components within the military.
And perhaps an enhancement in the collection of intelligence. The strikes were therefore accurate.
They were guided by intelligence. The result was the murder of terrorist leaders in the Northeast as well as a large number of commanders of non-state armed groups.

The security expert also mentioned the actions of other agencies, stating that the NDLEA, Customs, and police were making significant progress.
