Former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar’s spokesman, Segun Sowunmi, has placed conditions on supporting President Bola Tinubu.
Sowunmi revealed that before endorsing President Tinubu, he will leave the PDP and join the All Progressives Congress.
Speaking on Tuesday night’s episode of Arise Television’s Prime Time, Sowunmi stated that he could perhaps leave the PDP.
“I will leave and join his party if, by God and everything in me, I am going to support Tinubu in 2027,” he said.
“The bullshit that claims you are in one party while endorsing another is not something I believe in.
“If I’m not there, I’m not there; I don’t have time for pretend. The majority of them don’t even have that 28-day record, and I’ve been in PDP for 28 years.
“I will undoubtedly declare that I’m leaving if I decide to do so in order to support the president.
What reasonable person would remain at a party while you are telling them to fix it?
“I have cried out and yelled that the party has to be reformed. Given the circumstances in my surroundings, my current situation, my tribe, and my desires, there is a very real chance that I will leave.
