Jamaica invites a Manchester United defender to the Super Eagles final in the Unity Cup

According to the DAILY POST, Manchester United defender Dante Plunkett received a late invitation to play in Jamaica’s Unity Cup final against the Nigerian Super Eagles.

Plunkett’s has never been invited to the Reggae Boyz before.

The left-back, who left Aston Villa in 2024 to join Manchester United, made 15 appearances for the Red Devils U-18 team in all competitions during the 2025–2026 campaign.

On Friday, the 18-year-old is anticipated to perform with Reggae Boyz in London.

On Saturday at the Valley, Rudolph Speid’s team will play the Super Eagles in the championship game.

In the previous year’s final, Éric Chelle’s team defeated them 5-4 on penalties.
