Jim Iyke, a Nigerian Nollywood actor, asserted that a kid cannot be brought up to be a “proper man” by a single mother.
He maintained that a woman cannot effectively raise a man without the help of a male figure.
In a recent interview with Okay 101.7 FM in Accra, Ghana, Iyke made the assertion.
A man cannot be raised by a woman. You’re not made for it, so you can’t. A guy cannot be properly raised by a single mother. Go fetch your father, your sibling who is succeeding, or any other man you trust; you need a masculine influence. A male must be involved [in raising a boy child].
“Because women are innately inclined to love and nurture.” Then you’re going to raise a man who is extremely weak? He will resemble the guys who abandoned you in every way. You need someone who would correct him, tell him “no” as frequently as possible, and make him work hard,” he said.
