The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has questioned well-known Nigerian actress Iyabo Ojo regarding alleged currency misuse at her daughter’s wedding.
According to , the actress’ daughter Priscilla Ojo married Tanzanian artist Jux in Nigeria on April 17, 2025, following their Islamic wedding in Tanzania in February.
The wedding, the most discussed ceremony online, saw attendance from celebrities both Nigerian and foreign
Dollar bills and Naira notes were sprayed by guests at the extravagant wedding, where they were captured on camera.
Iyabo Ojo clarified her meeting with the EFCC after the event, responding to rampant rumors. She stated that she was questioned following her acceptance of the agency’s invitation.
Ojo stated in an Instagram post: “I was asked questions about my personal biodata, career, work experience, and my companies, among other topics.”
“I was inquired of whether I was aware of the illegality, to which I clarified that my understanding was limited to abuse or mutilation of naira being an offense.”
“The EFCC made it clear that spraying money on people is not allowed. It surprised me to find out that spraying any currency, even dollars, is also prohibited.
