Luka Dončić of the LA Lakers made a donation of $5,000 on Tuesday to assist in the restoration of a mural featuring Kobe Bryant and his daughter, Gianna.
In downtown Los Angeles, the mural was vandalized.
The mural, situated on a building at the intersection of 14th and Main streets, depicts Bryant kissing his 13-year-old daughter on the cheek while she holds a basketball.
Nonetheless, the piece of art had been vandalized with black and white paint
The mural was made to pay tribute to the Hall of Fame basketball player, who won five NBA championships while spending his entire career with the Lakers, and his teenage daughter.
On Tuesday, Dončić’s name was added to the GoFundMe donation list for the mural’s restoration, and his foundation verified the contribution.
„LA gehört Kobe. In a statement provided by the Luka Dončić Foundation, Dončić remarked, “He and Gigi mean a lot to this city, the Lakers organization, and to me personally.”
“I’m willing to do whatever it takes to ensure that he and his daughter are honored.”
