Lionel Messi, the star of Inter Miami, is negotiating a spectacular transfer to the Saudi Pro League team later this year with Al-Ahli.
With the transfer, Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo might once more compete in the same league. In order to continue playing in the Middle East, Ronaldo recently agreed to a new two-year contract with Al-Nassr. In December 2025, Messi’s current contract with the MLS team will come to an end.
Furthermore, there has been no indication of a potential renewal as of yet.
This has made it possible for Messi to leave Miami in the upcoming season, and a number of teams are interested in signing him.
L’Equipe claims that Al-Ahli is intrigued and has been trying to persuade the 38-year-old for “weeks.”
